It's just as easy for me to make it using the strip method - it's probably just a matter of personal preference!Deborah Schlegelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09587353720429282403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573603501517438763.post-53007059455066102632012-09-20T16:25:31.354-07:002012-09-20T16:25:31.354-07:00can't you make bias tape in one continual piec...can't you make bias tape in one continual piece?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573603501517438763.post-91152339343289707142012-01-07T12:48:23.601-08:002012-01-07T12:48:23.601-08:00Actually, I don't end up with a step - it is a...Actually, I don't end up with a step - it is a straight line, but the angle of the picture doesn't show that well. Time for a new picture! Step 5 also shows the seam already trimmed - I lay the ends of two pieces of bias tape perpendicular to each other right sides together and sew diagonally (where the pin is placed). This is probably worth re-doing the photos to make that step more clear! Thanks!Deborah Schlegelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09587353720429282403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573603501517438763.post-77657333493507468132012-01-07T09:19:31.787-08:002012-01-07T09:19:31.787-08:00At step 5, you have pinned the strips of fabric to...At step 5, you have pinned the strips of fabric together in a way that means you have a 'step' in your tape. Jennie Rayment shows a technique where you have the tip of each piece standing proud of the straight edge of the fabric. When stitched together the tape is in a smooth straight line, rather than stepped.<br />I probably haven't explained this very well but you should be able to find her technique online.Bossymammahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17200638216907803818noreply@blogger.com
